A weekend away from London in the "Green" city!

We arrived in Amsterdam on the Friday evening and it was straight to the hotel to check in and get rid of the bags because the bums around the station zone in on travellers and really harass you. We then took a stroll around town and wandered into a couple of bars. Some of them were really skanky and full of Moroccans, so we didnt stay in these places too long for fear of being knifed! We spent a lot of the first night in a bar called the Ritz, chatting to a couple of people we met at the bar. We then moved across to a place called The grasshopper for no un-obvious reason! That was pretty much where we ended the night.

This was a pic taken on the way there...funny, it seems I "forgot" to take any more pics.

The next day, after breakfast and a shower, we were off to Alkmaar to visit Nates Grandmother. It was an old-persons town, so not much happened and we went back to Amsterdam on Sunday morning.

Sunday comprised of a canal trip to see some of the most interesting sights, although I think that one is better off on foot. We would have seen more and saved some cash. After that, we had a sit-down dinner because we hadn't eaten properly the whole weekend, and then we hit the Red Light District one more time.

The girls in the red light district are unbelievable! They stand in their windows in their underwear, looking very sexy, but the most amazing thing is how stunning they are. It made me want to ask them what the hell they were doing there! So many of the girls were tall, blonde, busty, beautiful faces and the most incredible bodies I have seen in a long time. I suppose they make quite a bit of cash or they wouldnt do it. We did ask out of interest and it worked out like this. Eur 35 for F**k, Eur 50 for suck and F**k. The whole town is kinda like sin-city though and I think it only requires one visit.
